Chalet Cinq Petits Pas
The project began in 2021 when we decided to sell our house in Chamonix and move to higher ground. We wanted a quieter base, more reliable snow and a location that worked better for family time in the mountains.
Our aim was simple, ski in and out access in the Three Valleys, reliable snow, a position beside the piste and the ability to ski home after après ski, dinner and drinks, essentially removing the need for a car once in the mountains.
After two years of searching, we found a plot with a planned development in an emerging village in the Les Menuires valley.
We bought off plan, reworked the layout to create larger social spaces, better storage and a dedicated boot room and spent time with the architect and developer to ensure the chalet felt personal rather than standardised.

Building work began in late 2022 with the demolition of a small house on the wider property, followed by the foundations for the Naos 1570 development which was designed to comprise three large chalets, each divided into multiple apartments.
We purchased chalet C01, the front half of the largest chalet located closest to the piste, positioned directly beside it.
Progress was slowed by the weather, which is always a risk in the mountains, although work continued and by early summer 2024 our mountain home had started to take shape.

We took delivery in May 2025 and began furnishing and preparing for the season.
Furnishing an eight bedroom house from scratch took time, although we managed to be ready for the 2025 winter season.
The only remaining item is the fireplace, the earliest installation date available is April 2026.
We have built this house to suit the way we like to spend time in the mountains with friends and family, sharing space, good food and long days on the slopes. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do and we look forward to welcoming you to the mountains.
